The Early Childhood and Parenting (ECAP) Collaborative in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites you to become a sponsor of one of the most innovative journals in our field—Early Childhood Research & Practice (ECRP)—the first peer-reviewed, open-access, Internet-only, and now fully bilingual (Spanish and English) journal in early childhood education. ECRP, edited by Lilian G. Katz, is available to a worldwide audience at http://ecrp.uiuc.edu.

A highly visible boxed message containing a link and your logo on the home page of ECRP to your Web site for one calendar year.
Acknowledgment in promotional materials distributed about the journal.
The gratitude of countless students, teachers, administrators, teacher educators, consultants, and researchers who read and publish in ECRP and count on it as a major source for professional development.

How will the funds be used?

Funds raised through sponsorship will be used to meet the operating costs of the journal, including editing and translation costs, publicity, and preparation of the journal’s Web pages and databases.

What are some suggested levels of sponsorship?

Different levels of sponsorship will be acknowledged in different ways on the ECRP Web site.

Major Sponsor level — $10,000 and above
Sponsor level 2 — $5,000–$9,999
Sponsor level 1 — $1,000–$4,999

We will work with you to plan appropriate acknowledgment of your support. To ensure the integrity of the journal and to meet University requirements, we have established guidelines for ECRP sponsors.

Guidelines for Sponsorship

The Early Childhood and Parenting (ECAP) Collaborative invites foundations, businesses, agencies, and individuals to become sponsors of Early Childhood Research & Practice (ECRP), the first peer-reviewed, fully bilingual, Internet-only journal in the field of early childhood education. ECRP received over a million visitor sessions during 2006 and expects to become even more widely read in 2007.

Sponsors make a contribution to the University of Illinois Foundation earmarked for the journal; the journal recognizes sponsors by providing links to their Web sites and acknowledging their contributions in written materials about the journal, unless the sponsor requests not to be recognized.

University of Illinois policies require that sponsor links lead to an information page on the sponsor’s Web site rather than leading directly to a page that offers products or services for sale.
